iRobot 2004 starring Will Smith is based on the science fiction short story iRobot by Isaac Asimov published in 1942. It was one of Asimov’s best known stories. The film takes place in a future where robots are used for every task imaginable and have been rendered almost a slave class. Del Spooner, the character played by Smith, is a cop assigned to investigate a robot accused of killing it’s human owner. An unheard of crime due to the 3 laws that all robots governed by, which is meant to prevent such crimes. The film earned over $300 million worldwide and was nominated for three Academy Awards.

Our Rating: 10 out of 10. This is a great movie, animation is superb, the story line is brilliant and Will Smith proves once again that he is an actor worthy of Super Star status.
